Climate Impact on Health and Implications for Global Pharmaceutical Industries
As Head of Climate and Development Centre at the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment (SSEE) at the University of Oxford, Chukwumerije led a team of scientists that analysed the impact of climate change on health across the different world regions and demography. The project also suggested implications for pharmaceutical companies based on a range of methodological tools including envisioning and scenario analysis. The project also assessed current policy responses and options for improvement at national and continental levels as well as interaction with global policy dynamics in the climate and health regimes. The project was funded by GlaxoSmithKline plc, the British multinational pharmaceutical company headquartered in Brentford, London and involved collaboration with Accenture, A Fortune Global 500 professional services company, that provides services in strategy, consulting, digital, technology and operations.
